Twenty-two TRU researchers and students receive NSERC funding
Thompson Rivers University faculty and students were among 10,000 Canadian professors and students to share in the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council's (NSERC) 2007 Grants and Scholarships announced today by Parliamentary Secretary Colin Carrie, MP, on behalf of the Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of Industry, and NSERC President Dr. Suzanne Fortier.

Lethbridge College has found its new athletic director. Mark Kosak will assume the role Aug. 1 after four successful years in a similar post at University College of the Fraser Valley.

Sheridan Team takes Top Honours in Business Strategy Game
A team of Sheridan business students has taken first place in an on-line business strategy game that pits teams of students from universities around the world against each other. The April 2007 "Best Strategy Invitational" was hosted by the Business Strategy Game, administered by the University of Alabama.

Concordia University College of Alberta Celebrates Opening of Hole Academic Centre
The doors to the new Hole Academic Centre were officially opened on May 10 with a ceremony and ribbon cutting. The main floor of this 56,000 sq. ft. facility houses a consolidated area for Student and Enrolment Services, a Learning Enhancement Centre, and the bookstore. The second and third floors house the Mihalcheon School of Business, the Masters Program in Information Systems Security Management, as well as the Faculties of Continuing and Professional Education.
